This mandatory action is triggered by the applicant submitting an "Application to Amend Planning Permit" in SPEAR. The Responsible Authority is given the opportunity to assess whether the application should be accepted and whether the application requires additional supporting documentation to be added to SPEAR as part of the acceptance.
A negative response (rejecting the Application) will notify the applicant of the rejection and the current planning permit will remain unaffected.
A positive response (accepting the Application) will create mandatory actions for the Responsible Authority to recheck their advertising and referral requirements, and to then make a "Decision - Amended Planning Permit". The Responsible Authority may also need to specify whether or not a re-certification of the plan of subdivision is required.
If the Responsible Authority requires additional supporting documentation to be added to the application as part of accepting the "Application to Amend Planning Permit", the applicant will have a mandatory action to add the documents to SPEAR before "Decision - Amended Planning Permit" can be made.
When additional supporting documentation is selected, the Responsible Authority will be presented with a list of common documents to select from, for the applicant to include in the application before the planning permit will be amended. The Responsible Authority is also given the opportunity to request other documents that are not included on the list. Selecting the "other documents" check box will create a mandatory action to "Add Additional Information Request" to specify the documentation required from the applicant.
NOTE: Accepting the Application to Amend Planning Permit will change the status of the application back to "Council Permit Decision Pending". Once the planning permit has been amended, the application will revert back to the status it was in prior to the acceptance of the Application to Amend Planning Permit.
You will need to complete the following actions:
NOTE: If you selected "<Responsible Authority> accepts this application and do not require any further documentation to be submitted" you will not be required to add further documentation.
If you require further information, see User Guide 7 - Application to Amend a Planning Permit.
